What a fun world!!

According to “Ignore Everybody” book written by Huge Macleod, “Everyone is born creative; everyone is given a box of crayons in kindergarten”, I truly believe that.

We have created tons of ideas since we were born. Looking around us, we will see things created by such wonderful creative people. They were not all designers, engineers, architects and so on but it can be those who just love producing ideas, those who just love to explore new things every single days and such people have made the world we are living so wonderful.

Look at those chairs, tables, lamps, counters, floors, buildings, pens, windows, shoes, shirts, or even toothbrushes, many different  condom flavors and many more. Without creativity, the world must be to dry to live.

Without creativity, the world must be boring….

I had a chance to check the exhibition comment book. Why the comment book awakes my attitude towards the ideas of people being born creative?

The pictures below are from the comment book I mentioned before. It was fun looking at it. It is not just a message but people showed their talent, ideas, and especially their creativity.

It was fun to guess what the exhibition visitors were thinking =)

Some people think, the more they grow up, the world is more and more boring. Such attitude narrows down their world. I feel sorry for them.Since the world never stops running and it is changing all the time, how can you be bored?

Many people keep inventing things, discovering useful and practical things for us or even creating aesthetic tools for us to perceive.

How can you say you are living in a boring world?

It’s not that the world is boring but it’s “you” who is  boring if you have such attitude in your mind.

Creativity makes the world even more fun.

Decision making

Have you ever counted how many times in your life that
you have to make decisions?

I have no idea how many decisions I have made since I was born starting from selecting clothes, food, friends, work, residence or even relationship and many many more.

Black or white T-shirt?

“Salad or hamburger?”

“iPhone or Blackberry?”

“Be with someone you love or someone who loves you?

(It would be wonderful if you can get both at the same time)”

” Well-paid job or the job you love? “

( It would be amazing if you can get both )

Many people are afraid of making decision. Being afraid and being careful are different. For me, people who are way too afraid to make a decision have already “failed”.

Why?

Because you say “no” before it even starts. Believe in your intuition and go for it. If your parents so want you to study in science but you love art, go for it and prove it to your parents that it works out for you.

However, if it doesn’t come out good, you learn from it. You at least know art is not for you. However, before moving on, make sure you try your best.

“I’d rather regret for what I have done than to regret  for what I have not done.”

Cuz’ you have nothing to lose, though you lose something, you will probably get something in return. At least, you will be given experience =)

Just a matter of colors…

This blog was written a year ago. And now it’s exactly the same time, before Songkran- Thai New Year Holiday. However,  it’s worse than last year this time. I truly hope everything will be better.

Here is what I blogged a year ago. Please enjoy the “Propaganda Model”.I think it is interesting and it makes me understand more why things which should have been done, never been done…

I was introduced by a friend about a Propaganda Model.

Do you know what Propaganda is? Years ago, It meant ” The congregation of spreading faith “, used in terms of religion.

Now, it is used mostly in terms of politics.
According to Wikipedia, propaganda is the dissemination of information
aimed at influencing the opinions or behaviors of people.

There is one theory called Propaganda Model advanced by Noam Chomsky and Edward S. Hermen. According  to wikipedia, the Propaganda Model is

the theory alleges systemic biases in the mass media and seeks to explain them in terms of structural economic causes. The model filters are divided into five filters: ownership, funding, sourcing, flak and anti-ideologies.

After reading the theory, it really opens my eyes. Plus, in our country, I think it’s kinda obvious based on the theory.
Have you ever wondered why this group read A newspaper and the others read B, C or D?
Based on the theory, because the newspapers support their ideas, their attitude, their ways of thinking.It’s all about business. News is considered as a product. Brand represents customers and also represents the brand themselves.

I will bring only the first three filters which are so obvious in our society:
ownership, funding and sourcing.

Supposing that you are working as a writer in the newspaper company

1. Ownership
If the company owner is taking A side, the product will tend to be a pro- A product.
2.Funding
If the sponcers supported your products are taking A side,
the messages contained in the product is supposed to contain a pro-A message.
3. Sourcing
If you find a source that can provide you all the message you want,
for example, secret message, gossip, or mainstream information
that can beat your competition, would you betray your source not
presenting good things about them?

If Mr.White helps you out from difficulties but you know he is not a good
guy and he is doing somethinIg illegal, as a journalist, will you write bad thing about him? Some did anyway, but cannot stay in the position for long.

Everything in this world is all about business, all about money.
We cannot deny that money is one of the most vital factor for living.
It might even be the most mainstream one.

Media has the big Big BIG influence on EVERYTHING!!!
which includes “politics”.

If you say ” I am the Red”.
It can be easily told that you are reading —– newspaper and watching ——- channel.
If you say ” I am the Yellow.“
It can also be easily told that you are reading ——- newspaper and watching ——channel.

Why? Because people always want to listen to whatever supporting their ideas. Such companies can build the brand awareness and build trust to their customers and  such ideas finally turn to be a strong belief deeply rooted within them. If you consume the wrong-side media, you might feel misplaced. When the belief is established, it is difficult to change.
If there is a strong belief contradiction, troble will be caused.

I believe that there are many people come out, holding a big hope in their minds, asking for the real democracy.

I am not blaming the Red, the Yellow, nor the Pink. But if you consider more carefully, if you stop and ask yourself that what are u really fighting for?
Democracy or unity?

What makes our country move forward and everyone is happy?
Do you want the country to be united?

Why don’t we try to find the way to solve it?

Why don’t we find the solution to make our country-the land of smile a better place? What if you receive the democracy ( which I wonder that it really ever exists in Thailand), but there is no unity in the country? The conflicts will be never-ending.

Be united!

Personally, I think…
Without national unity, our country cannot move forward.
Without patriotism, our country cannot move forward.
Without peace, our country cannot move forward.
Many people said “ I do this for the country.”
If so, why don’t you put your word into action?
So that we can stand tall and proudly say that ” we love the country.”
I do not want to see Thailand – my mother land – flooded with blood.

Make everyday counts

For me, ”Action speaks louder than Words and

“word” doesn’t count without “action”.

Sometimes, you might have to painfully and reluctantly take the result from what you have done in the past and strongly move on…

How to get yourself back from heartache!

Are you the one who is suffering from heartache?

For me this disease cannot be cured by any medicine. Basically, it is from your attitude towards things. It’s said that “easier said than done.” Hmm but if we don’t start doing something, will it be cured?

First of all, I am not a heartache doctor. I am not a relationship expert. I am just the one who wants to share my experience, what I see, what I think towards things. Plus, I strongly believe that all heartbroken people can get themselves back on track easily if they just change the way they think possitively.  My attitude might not be acceptable for some but I just want to share and it truly helped me getting through such heartache feeling.

Today, I would love to give an encouragement for those who are cheated, dumped, lied and so on.

Please remember that “you can always be in the relationship you want. Please weight between happiness and sadness from the relationship, you will finally find the answer.”

Is it worth being in pain?
Is it worth feeling unsecured?
Is it worth being stressed all the time?

If you did all your best for the relationship, do not need to regret any single minute with one you love.

If you feel like you are lost without him? Think again! Just because you are losing doesn’t mean you are lost…

Come on, you were happy before without him, grasp some old pictures with your smiley face when you were young, see? “You were happy without him.”

Life is so short, do not let anyone giving you a hard time in your life.

Ending painfully is way better than being in pain never-ending.

Take it as an experience to step further for the better and healthier relationship. It is just another lesson learned.

I believe time will help but the most important thing is the way you think.

It is difficult enough to be given a chance to be born in this world.

so “Never paint your life only in blue but colorful.”

“Life is all about choices, it is your choice how to live life.”

I have always been inspired by that quote. As I remember it was from a short story on the Internet. I’m not quite sure but you can apply this quote to everything in your life. You can choose to be in pain or stay with it, it is all about your choice.

What I am saying is that, you can be hurt, terribly hurt, deadly hurt but you need to get yourself back on track as soon as you can.  Live, learn and move on for the better path of life.

“Love” itself never bullshits anyone but other things do.. like , jealousy, greed, selfishness, lies  or even lust . The relationship cannot last long having those things in between.

For those who are suffering from this heartache, hope you can get yourself back on track as soon as possible =)

PS. If you love someone and you feel like the relationship is very brain-consuming instead of feeling… please ask yourself again “is that what you truly want?”

The Age of Collaboration*

First time blogging *

I come up with the ideas of collaboration today. I have heard many people talking about the advantages of “collaboration” instead of “individuality” for quite a while.

Although, I enjoyed working in group with my classmates when I was in college; however, I preferred working or researching individually. It was more comfortable, making the decision on my own. If it was good or bad, it was all my ideas.

As time goes by, I have learned that it is way better learning and working with others. Ideas are taken further through discussion, arguments, experience sharing, and so on. Some ideas are proved to be possibly created, some are not. However, you at least get your brain worked out.

Collaboration =  Sharing+Learning+Working+Playing+ togetherness

Positively thinking, collaboration can help us making the world healthier and better. I am the one who is inspired by interdisciplinary working and learning. I first heard about “interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary” work when I was a sophomore, studying Art for Appreciation. It is amazing when you see people combining things together. How about combining arts and education? Medication and music? Medication, engineer and psychology?

Collaboration gives you the ideas of creating a better and healthier world if you do it in a good way =)

Talking about collaborative working, I would love to share you something I have freshly known about. “Zach Lieberman”, the famous American computer programmer, artist, researcher, hacker and whatever you want him to be once said that the concept of  DIWO (Do it with others) is better than DIY (Do it yourself). With such concept, the EyeWriter project was created in the collaboration of members of Free Art and Technology, OpenFrameworks and the Graffiti Research Lab.

Let me tell you  more about the project, EyeWriter is a low-cost eye-tracking apparatus & custom software that allows graffiti writers and artists with paralysis resulting from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis to draw using only their eyes. Personally, the project is not only to produce newly innovative program but also to help those who have passion to arts. It is more like a social work for me too.

Let me wrap up here with collaboration. For me “collaboration and sharing are pretty much the same”. How can we widen the world?

If you think your ideas will be stolen once you share, you are living in the narrow world. It is pretty difficult to breath.  If you want to breath better, healthier, why don’t you widen your world by sharing?
